Episode 1 - Marduk Station, the Beginning

The crew tells me I should chronicle our adventures, so here we go this is a historical reporting of our first action on Marduk Station:

We arrived on station, the three of us: Myself, Taryn my right-hand woman, and Krex'il, that mysterious Swift we'd met out in the stars - he dresses like some general of their kind and acts like it too. He speaks almost exclusively in their native tongue which keeps the translator busy and delays our conversation

Fast forward a few hours and we're in this cantina and this skilled technician named Elly and I are having a couple cold ones - turns out she's looking to get off station and we're looking to get another warm body for our crew. Perfect. She's young, and a bit naive, but she's savvy and knows her way around tech, maybe Taryn can take her under our wing?

We rest on the ship, credits are tight and we ain't got money for nothin' fancier. Next morning, our calls for patronage are returned twofold as Taryn comes through like she always does... but both jobs are crap. Low pay, high risk one for a local megacorp - Reactive Operations - and the other for Marduk Station System Authority aka the local gov.

Still, credits are tight so we plan on taking both jobs. We head out to the site Reactive Operations wanted us to investigate which is a good klick into the station, you heard that right - this place is MASSIVE.

"Through here," Elly says we walk, leading us through a seldom-used warehouse. Seemed sketch by itself but then it got even worse.

"Well, well, well, look who we have here!" a gruff man's voice rang out as he and a few other men in non-descript uniforms got the jump on us!

Before the guns start blazing I recognized a man in a skull mask: a Warpjack Marauder. We'd had some tussles out in the stars and now they considered myself their rival. They wanted my ship the Solar Pathfinder something fierce, but she weren't never gonna fall into their hands!

Long-story short, we cleaned up the Marauders, they're not known for their courage, in the way we know best - find the biggest, baddest looking fellow and knock him out. This caused panic in their ranks and they started breaking, but a lucky shot on that newbie Elly laid her low and the crazed Krex'il charged in the open, earning himself a wound too.

Taryn and I got the loot and bounced, the Warpjacks upending our plans to look into that megacorp's job, and with the area now crawling with station security we figured it best to cut our losses and make ourselves scarce...
